Ex-MEGADETH Guitarist MARTY FRIEDMAN Spokesman For 'Guitar Hero 3' In Japan
September 28, 2007Former MEGADETH guitarist Marty Friedman's official web site has been updated with the following message:
"Marty made a special appearance and performance as the spokesman for Guitar Hero 3 at the Activision press conference for the new game last week. Along with him were Olympic swimmer Kosuke Kitajima, actress Mona Yamamoto and 'Rock Fujiyama' co-star Rolly. See photo here.
"In other news, a full interview with Marty is featured in the famed Japanese photographer Koh Hasebe's new hardcover KISS photo book 'Photo Library Series - Kiss'. This collection is truly the Holy Grail for KISS fans as it contains hundreds of yet-unseen photographs, all from the legendary '77 and '78 performances at Budokan. More info here.

Marty Friedman has landed a role in a major motion picture in Japan. The movie, called "Gugudatte Neko Dearu", stars Koizumi Kyoko and is slated for a 2008 release. Marty began filming his parts this month and will wrap work on the project in December.
Friedman released the "Exhibit B - Live in Japan" DVD and "Exhibit A - Live in Europe" CD simultaneously in Japan on August 22 by Avex. These feature different setlists, but with the same band members: Jeremy Colson (drums),Ron Jarzombek (WATCHTOWER, SPASTIC INK; guitar) and Chris Catero (bass).
